What is your official title?
I don’t have an official title. I design apps and websites and attempt to make other cool projects.
What do you love most about Kalamazoo?
I like that it is a big/small city. It has everything you need and a lot of the perks of a big city, but you can actually get around driving. The people are amazing. I had no idea until I started to get more involved downtown, but there are some seriously incredible people here. And that is the goal behind this blog, help the amazing people of Kalamazoo share their story with the rest of the community and the world.
What can be done to improve our beloved Kalamazoo?
Get more people involved, one at a time. There are so many people that are absolutely clueless about what is going on in Kalamazoo. I was one of them, and I still am.
What has been one of your biggest learning moments?
I have learned a lot doing side projects. Stop making things you think other people will enjoy and make something you enjoy.
What have you been jammin’ to recently? What’s on the iPod?
I listen to spotify most of the time. I can find something I like in just about every genre. I like to mix it up and listen to new music.
What is next up on your reading list?
How do you take your coffee?…or do you?
I don’t drink the coffee. Hot chocolate is where it’s at for hot drinks. But I’m more of a pop person, team Mountain Dew and Dr Pepper.
What is your favorite app to use?
Probably twitter, I use it constantly. I also like Instagram and Foursquare. Foursquare is underrated, I use it to find all kinds of places. It’s way faster and smarter than maps, or searching the internet in my opinion.
Do you have a “go to” spot in Kalamazoo?
Chipotle is my go to eat spot. Besides that, I like to mix it up a bit.
What is the best reaction you’ve gotten to the name “Kalamazoo”?
I haven’t had anything too exciting. Most people just say there is good beer here.
